I lead ceremonies at crematoria, cemeteries and other appropriate venues across London and surrounding areas. My part is to write and lead the service, alongside the people handling the wider arrangements.
Cemetery & graveside services
I can lead a ceremony at a cemetery or by the graveside. I’ll discuss the structure with you and coordinate the ceremony with your funeral director and the people at the venue.
Memorials & celebrations of life
A memorial can be held separately from the funeral, at a time and appropriate venue you’ve arranged. Some families call this a celebration of life. You don’t have to make it relentlessly upbeat, or choose a particular label before we speak.
After a direct cremation
If the cremation took place without a ceremony, I can help you create and lead a gathering afterwards. There can be readings, music and time for people to speak about the person who has died.
Writing and contributions
You can be involved as much or as little as you want in preparing the words. I can help with:
- Writing the eulogy from our conversations
- Editing something you’ve already written
- Helping a family member or friend prepare a tribute
- Working readings, music and prayers into the ceremony
- Planning the order and timing of contributions
- Reading someone’s words if they would prefer not to speak
